Hi all,

It’s November and that time of the year to get out the pants with the stretchable waistbands!! I hope you and your family have a great Holiday season.

Here is your Sparks from the Spa Newsletter for November.

Our November meeting will be on Monday, November 12, at the Wilton EMS building, just off of Jones Road in Wilton. Meeting time will be at 6:30 for the board meeting, with the general meeting starting at 7:00 PM.

Our speaker will be Brian Szewczyk, NJ1F, He will be speaking about the WRTC 2018 (World Radiosport Team Championship) experience, He has participated in previous WRTC events, so he is no newcomer about this contest. The WRTC was held on July 12 to 16 this year, in Germany.

Please be sure to come to hear about ham radio being operated, unlike any other contest you may have participated in.

  1. This is actually a signal report on the 144.290 beacon. I’m about 66 miles away in FN32fg and am copying the beacon at ground level on an FT857 with a rubber duck ! Very stead signal strength. Checked Google Earth and we are LOS with at least 500 ft elevation clearance in the middle of the path.
