Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – December 2021

Hello all,

I hope everyone is doing well and getting their holiday shopping done.

Here is December issue of the Sparks from the Spa Newsletter.

Also, a reminder that the club’s December meeting is scheduled for next Monday December 13.  The location is different for this meeting:

SCARA’s monthly in December is on Monday December 13.  Because of scheduling conflicts with our normal meeting area, we are changing our meeting area.  We will be meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 155 Ballard Road, Gansevoort zip 12831.  Please plan on arriving about 6:30 PM.

You can get there by exiting the Northway at exit 16 (Ballard Road) and heading east (towards route 50).  The building is about ½ mile east from the exit, on the right side of the road.

We will not be having a formal program.  Instead, the club will be providing food to help ring in the holidays.  We will be providing subs, chips, soda and water.  Since we will be providing the food, we will ask you to RSVP to me with the count in your party.  Please email me at KG2H@ARRL.NET to let me know how many to plan for.  Spouses and significant others are welcome to come.  (maybe we can convince them to get their ham license).  We hope you will enjoy eyeball QSO’s and that everyone will have a good time.

I hope to hear from many of you.

Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – November 2021

Hello all,

I hope everyone’s Halloween went well, and you were not too inundated with Trick or Treaters. (I certainly hope you didn’t get any Tricks played on you.)

Here is a link to the November issue of the Sparks from the Spa Newsletter.

Just a reminder, our monthly meeting is scheduled for this coming Monday, Nov 8.  The Fire training facility is pre-booked for both November and December so we will move our meeting site.  Right now, our November meeting is going to be help at the Paul E Lent Public Safety Facility, in the same campus as the Fire Training Center where we normally meet.  We will have a short business meeting at 6:30PM, followed by a general meeting at 7:00 PM.

Be sure to go out and Vote tomorrow.
