Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – December 2019

Apparently the Fire Training Center is still being used as a Code Blue shelter, so our meeting will be held in the EOC in Ballston Spa. This is the same location we used last month. It is in Ballston Spa, on the opposite side the street from the Co-operative Extension building at 50 West High Street (AKA Route 67). If you need directions, just give a shout out on one of our repeaters, and you will be talked in.

There is no planned speaker, but this is our normal holiday get together. Plan on a good eyeball meeting and conversation. If you wish you may bring some goodies along to share with the others.

Here is the Sparks from the Spa Newsletter for December.

Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – June 2019

Hello All,

OK, Spring Weather is just dandy. Hope you are all enjoying it.

Attached is the June issue of the Sparks from the Spa Newsletter.

Don’t forget the June 10th club meeting. The Board of Directors is at 6:30, and the General Membership meeting is right after at 7:00 PM. It’s our last meeting before our summer hiatus. There will be no meetings in July or August. The location will be the usual location at the Wilton EMS building just off Jones Rd. in Wilton.

This is our annual meeting, so that means that the meeting is focused on getting new officers and directors elected for the year. There is a notice in the newsletter.

If you have any questions, please let me know. KG2H@ARRL.NET

Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – May 2019

Hi Everyone,

It’s so exciting now that Spring has arrived. Its a great time to get the antennae back in shape after the winter we just went thru. I personally have added another 2 meter antenna to the farm. I now have both a horizontal and vertical antenna for 2. I still have to run the cable up to the shack, but the hard outside work is done.

Attached is the current issue of Sparks from the Spa Newsletter. I hope you enjoy it.

There a couple of items to bullet:

  • The East Greenbush hamfest is this weekend on Saturday. Details are in the newsletter.
  • Our monthly club meeting is this Monday , May 13.

The meeting is the usual time: 6:30 PM for the Board of Directors, and 7:00 PM for the General Meeting. This is at the usual location in the Wilton EMS building off of Jones Road in Wilton.

We hope to see you there.

Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – April 2019

Hello All,

Attached is the April edition of the Sparks from the Spa Newsletter. It’s packed full of content, so I could not find space to add a note about the April meeting schedule.

Our regular meeting is on the second Monday of the month, April 8. It is in the usual location, the Wilton EMS squad building, just off of Jones Road in Wilton, NY. the General membership meeting starts at 7 PM, and there is a board of directors meeting immediately preceding that at 6:30 PM.

We will hear from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) about the annual tour de cure, which the club has supported for probably 20 years. This year the tour is again in June, and will again be headquartered from the Saratoga County Fairgrounds.

The Saratoga County event has consistently ranked # 2 or #3 in the country. Come and hear the talk. The Ham coordinator this year is Mike, K2ZIP.

Sparks from the Spa Newsletter – March 2019

Hello all,

It’s March!! The start of Spring!! ( Yeah right, its supposed to snow tonight!)

Attached is the latest Sparks from the Spa Newsletter, enjoy it.

This is important, our annual swapfest is this Saturday, March 9. It is being held at the Cooperative Extension Building in Ballston Spa, 50 West High Street. Doors will be open at 8 AM, and the raffle drawing will be approximately 10:30. We’re clearing up at 11 AM, so we can set up for the Exam Session which will start at Noon.

Because of the Swapfest, we do not hold our normal Monday meeting in March, so don’t plan on the regular meeting on March 11.

Thanks, and I will see you there.
